Kenneth Ogunniyi is from Country Club Hills and attended Rich Township High School. He is currently majoring in Neuroscience and plans to become a Doctor or get his PhD in Neuroscience. In his free time, he likes to play basketball, chess, and video games. He is also part of the College Board African American Recognition Award, Mathletes Athlete, and National/Spanish Honor Society.

Nada Mahmoud is from Burbank, Illinois, and attended Universal High School in Bridgview, Illinois. There, Nada founded and led the first Black History Committee which funded the first Black-Authored Library of Universal School. She also founded and led IDH (Inner-city Muslim Action Network, Dawa and Humanitarian Aid Club), which helped collect jackets, clothes, and canned goods for homeless people in underserved areas of Chicago. Nada is a Biological Sciences major planning to pursue Dentistry.

Venus Obazuaye (they/them) is from Forest Park, Illinois, and they attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA). In high school, they were involved in clubs such as the Council for Campus Equity, Student Coalition for Racial Justice, and served as a multidisciplinary tutor. Outside of school, they sew their own clothes, spend too much time second-hand shopping, and take care of over 20 plants. At UIC, they will be majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Spanish on the pre-Med track.

I am double majoring in Biochemistry and economics to hopeful go to Ph.d/Med school. I enjoy playing sports and helping out my schools community at all times. I’m high school I was the Vice president of the National Honors Society and I was apart of the student council to help volunteer and serve GBCPA and the community around us. I am also and Illinois State scholar from the 23/24 year which means I rank in the top 10% of all Illinois students.
